Sounds so juvenile right, and when I told my colleague (who is a Malaysian) that I've not been to the night safari, she questioned if I'm a Singaporean.. Oh well, but I've been to the day zoo quite a number of times.. the last being.. eh.. I think many months ago.. Nonetheless, tourists' attractions are meant for tourist right? It's alright. My pink IC proves I'm born & bred in SG. (:

Alright, back to work cuz I intend leave on the dot (I've been working late nights since Monday!), hit the gym, and then to party with the animals! I think I need to get insect repellant! my blood is very attractive to the mozziez.. ):

Festivity equates busyness

At press time, I’ve three-four more urgent cases on hand, and pressing deadline. At the time whereby most are clearing their annual leave, I’m stuck behind in one of the little glass windows of the offices nearby Sentosa.

Have been a hectic week… and hence, no entries lately, partly because, my 1 month-old Vaio gives me blue screen every time I start it up since Christmas eve. Tried system restore – no use. Downloaded the latest drivers from the Vaio website. Still bluescreen :( Called the Sony Customer Service Hotline yesterday, was finally advised to reset my C: Drive. If the problem persist, I can check in my vaio for a few night stay @ the service centre. Stubborn me didn’t want to reset the C: Drive cuz I’ve not back up the files yet (actually nothing much in the laptop, except the itunes Podcasts.. haha) . Did a hard disk diagnostic – no problem with hard disk woah… Hopefully no more bluescreen greeting this evening..

Christmas was spent.. oh well, less hectic (and more pleasant) than 2008. (cuz of lesser involvement). Sang for the x’mas eve service, and caroled to a non-existence audience (due to the ‘strategic placement‘ of our group which I guessed cuz we were the first group, hence kinda guinea pig in positioning). Met Kei @ tampines after serving.. did some (last) minute xmas shopping*envied her cuz her office is closed for Christmas until next year!) Caught Avatar in 3D sometime after midnight (but the cinema was just 5min away from home so.. it’s alright that it’s 3 hr show and I gotta be up by 9am soon after). Stayed up till 6am after the movie to do the wrapping and card writing.. )(and that’s only for eh, some oni.. oh well..lalala). The usual christmasy stuff – service, drama, giving of pressies (and receiving) –follows.. was darned tired that I fell asleep after dinner that night (which was like 10pm while watching tv) hence only get to unwrap my pressie on Sat.

making numerous calls won't allow you to jump the queue

Extremely peeved by this uncle who kept calling after every email sent, wishing and hoping that he can get the reply by end of today simply because he called to 'chase'. Never failed to be irritated by his voice every time he calls. Not to mentioned that his voice is rather LOUD. Ah chek, we do our reviews on a FIFO basis okie? Ur numerous calls disrupt my productivity and hence slower rate in reviewing..  Urgh!! Black Monday. doh.

Still, I'm going christmas shopping this evening after work - cuz vivo is closing oni @ 11! So yay! time to do my last min shopping after ot-ing still.. lalala.

I guessed I'd lost focus why I was doing what I was doing, and i was very humbled by God's gentle & warm nudging during the thanksgiving service.. which ended @11plus... I was indeed very touched and inspired by many leaders in the church, and especially Pastor & Sun. And I am so very glad that I am part of this great church.. 

think I'd never shed so much tears in my life in a single day... But gosh, i love it!

And.. I am glad I was in the congregation and not on stage .. [cuz i was feeling faint during s3/s4 while serving and i seriously can't close my eyes during worship - cuz i nearly blacked out.. :( cuz low on blood sugar - didn't eat breakfast... ) then gastric act up during s4 - and i fell prey to sleep devil duing svc - but i caught the 5points still ] inspite of the many faults/ shortcomings/falls, God is still cheering me on and never gave up on me..  and ever gently nudges me back to the wrong end of the fork turn i decided to head... 

Really blessed tonight, and had a fresh vision for the new year... [ not really new but renewed..]

in short, i am very blessed to be under two great leaders that have faith in me.. thank u , steven & charlene! For giving me an outlet to serve the members with the limited know-how.. and for your discipleship and sharing..

the 'face' issue

Does number of followers/ friends on twitter/facebook denotes your popularity?
Are you sad when you lost followers (which you don't know) on ur networking account?

To me, if I don't know them and they decided to remove/ stop following me (I'm no celebrity, can't comprehend why complete strangers be interested in my one-liner or 144 words long phrase.. or maybe they found me kawaii or witty?? lalala), I am alright. If my friends removed me, that i'll be concerned .. maybe their account was hacked? Or someone did really went wrong.. If not, nah, I lose nothing..  and certianly, I wouldn't twit that the no. of followers is on a downward trend..

Trigger point of this post - STress.. hence went into fb for some r&r.

Out of randomness, I clicked onto this acquaintance’s profile page in fb through another friend’s page (which I’d turned off the status update after he has ‘yaya-ing’ remarked that ‘I’ve turned off the status updates of some people” – in addition to the fact that I’m not the least interested in his countless status updates… which is often full of grammatical errors… - the- uniquely- ris-type- of engrish) . I saw this status update he posted last evening (out of the many others on the same day)

I was rather amused by this status update and the comments that followed thereafter. Frankly, I’ve got strangers (from other continents.. ) following my twitter – and I don’t really know where they got my twit id from since I don’t really follow a lot of peeps. Since it’s nothing really private that I twit, I see no reason to lock the a/c. And I’d since removed quite a number of weird ones – because they have very suggestive profile peeps – very provocative ones… haha.. I guessed YA must be happier if he is in my shoes, I have more followers than those I followed ( most of which are my friends.)!! HAHA.. (and for the record, I don’t think I follow his twits..)

I don’t really twit a great deal, unless out of boredom on train.. and it is interesting to read some such as xiaxue’s.. haha.. and speaking of which, I saw her proposal video .. so sweet! Though she blogs in a colourful language which will be full of blanketie-blank-blank for the minors, I like the realness in her. Or prolly, there is a hidden ‘lian-nature’ in me that click with her.. :p

Anyway, I am glad I’m not an ego-manic, not concerned about no. of followers on twitter, no. of friends on fb (which some of them I don’t really know, but will be awkward to remove them because I will still see them around, and there are still some friend requests which I’d not approve because I don’t recognise them and don’t know if I am supposed to know them..).

Commercial break is over.. Back to slogging.. :( sobs.. wonder what time I can head out of office tonite!

christmas shopping - part 1

 after spending 20 min in Kiehl, finally decided on two gift items... Remember that there's topshop sale, so decided to take a look ... 

Mega-disappointment .. cuz nothing caught my eye.. so i popped over to pull & bear instead...  Saw this lovely tank top but it was kinda long (left with one size m & the rest are large..) but decided to try it anyway... and found the denim mini which i didn't get the other time and tried another lighter one... and spent the next 10+min in the changing room  and since i won't be getting all the items, i camwhore a bitsy... (pink top was one of my trophy from the mng sale yesterday..)

Ended up buying the denim skirt i almost bought three weeks ago - cuz the other denim skirts i'd were unwearable even with belt and i can't be always wearing the white river island one... aniwae, it's not that ex.. and haha i can wear it for the carolling/xmas..  sadly, didn't get the tank top cuz no more sizes.. :(

did my first xmas card and wrapped the first gift... :) .. hopefully can succeed in the invite to the xmas svc.. ;p

one more day to the weekend!!

Changes

For the past three weeks, I kept having to change my plans.. due to the ever LAST minute changes for the day of the meeting, which was supposed to be a designated day.. and this is starting to irk me. Why can't a designated time be kept to weekly, instead of the 11th hour changes that result in inconvenience to not just me, but to those whom I'd already made plans with.

The power of one. Changing one timing of a meeting that involves a group of persons NOT just simply affect the attendees BUT also the friends of the attendees as well.

I hope this will not happen again, as much as i understand that one gotta be flexible. If I'm the organiser, I will not change the date without giving ample prior notice.

I saw this pair of mommy and baby hedgehogs the other day when I went IKEA two weeks ago. .and adopted them home... cuz they are so cuddly soft and.. for a good cause (right?) So mommy and baby hedgehog are happily snoozing at home right now while it's wet and cold outside... (it's raining again!)

what makes me happy

Under-estimated the speed in which a dress was being snapped out during a sale. Saw this lovely cocktail dress going for $99 (which was $149 originally) and there were like 5-6 pieces there.. in sizes of S & M. So I took S since few of the dresses I last bought frm there was of that size.

Queued 20 min for the dressing room - and found that though the size fits- it's not that comfortable cuz it's a fitting-bustier typesy.. and i dun forsee in going for bust reduction so thought of getting a size larger (since there were still quite a few hanging on the rack...)

To my horror.. all were snapped up except for the lone piece of size S left hanging there... Sad.. but I saved $99. In one hour, I bought: 1 dress, 2 belts, 1 pair of shorts, 1 knitted sphag top, 1 sweater (oh yeah, it's for the colourful sweater for the carolling outfit) for only $150 (and saved $114!). Shopping makes mione a happy gal.. :)

And I got my nike+ sensor (which I failed to get) from nike b.i.r.d  and save 10% [cuz i'm a member.. :)] - now i know why i didn't get to buy it last night.. lalala.. I can go running tonite.. ;p

And in a failed attempt to get the nike+ sensor (i think it reached its max lifespan - think too much mileage?)  from the Apple reseller @ bugis after gym last nite (cuz i reached just as the shutters were pulled down half way.. it was 2130 then.. ).. I bought two pairs of footwear @ Pazzion after being enticed with the reward of a $20 voucher for purchases exceeding $120. - firstly, my current flatties from the same shop have been worn out.. secondly, i need a pair of heels for work and that should not kill me. Thirdly, i don't want to make a waste trip from the detour from home after gym.

So.. I went home with two pairs of shoes richer.. ,a $20 voucher , and won two movie vouchers for Sherlock Holmes from the mall's lucky dip (cuz i dun want the umbrella) and two (more) sheets of christmas wrappers...

see the soles are all worn out!! (I wear them like almost everyday.. ) so i reckon the cost is fully depreciated after one just mth. so NBV - Nil. Loss on disposal - NIL.

the new replacement! Same design, different colour -silvery black.. I am so tempted to get another pair in silver, and in pink (which was my first pair).. :p

the holey heels which i ran in them for 10-20 metres to catch my bus this morning. not too high, just slightly less than 4 inch.. :)

I almost didn’t make it to service on Sunday due to the side effects of the h1n1 jab. * oh well, my gp thought it was safer since yours truly’s condition falls within the high risk category - the insulin problem – I took my jab last Saturday.*


Alas, headache set in the evening time and I slept the whole journey back from amk to home, after appreciation ‘party’ @ zone leader’s place. I slept from 930pm to 630am after popping a panadol cuz felt the fever coming. Woke up feeling groggy and feverish still. Hence, texted my choir i/c and helper that I would not be able to serve for s3/s4 – (no reply from them, not too sure if they received the message, but at least I did inform @ the earliest instance – i.e. after rise & shine).

Thankfully, headache progressively disappeared towards service time. *Maybe the 肠粉soothes the headache?* Glad that I was in the congregation and not on stage. *Maybe the time I get to be on the stage is diminishing. Oh well, until that day comes.

My ambition? My dream? Oh well, before the sermon – I was posed with this question as the song beautiful one came on – “I lay my own ambition ..” Actually, I don’t really have much of an ambition – haha.. 胸无大志的– I just wanna be a tai-tai. *.* Talents? I think I am creative, and rather “ngiao” pertaining to certain matters– or a nicer way to put it – the ‘C’ personality , but other than that.. I don’t really know.. . Alright, I lay my ambition of being a tai-tai (i.e. not able to 悠闲度日)… Was immensely touched during the ministry part @ the service and I guess I am (sorta) coming terms with what-ought-to-be and what’s not. Still asking for the faith of a mustard seed to inch out from the safety net of tangibility. I was convinced that what that I really wanted to do is not really what I perceived that everyone else would want to do. * oh yes.. I still remember the first time I fell under the power during a combined meeting of some sort where I was given a glimpse of He wants me to do. (Alright, I was like a few months fresh in chc then… the meeting was in @ the Anglican Retreat Centre somewhere near Hiag Rd/ Katong area i think whereby that has came so close to materalise then gone due to my own negligence… )

I have a feeling that 2010 is goona a rocking-good-year! (or to what the infamous ex-pageant winner coined up – it’s boomz!) Frankly, I thought it was a BAD thing for things to explode – such as car crashes (and this uniquely-singapore-lass came up with these “uniquely-ris’ terms by playing with toy trucks – I think she must be a fans of crash-test-dummies –I don’t remember ramming the cars when I was young.. ), and since explosion is usually associated with death and destruction, it’s kinda weird to use such word to describe something great right? Alright, maybe explosion in terms of exploding/ bursting with joy. Great joy. That seems (slightly) more plausible. (I was very tickled by her inspiration for the uniquely-ris-vocab – sounds.. Ah.. maybe that’s how baby language came about – like poopoo and weewee to denote the excretion of bodily wastes ..) For conversation with your close friends, by all mean indulge in the creative language. For official purposes, there is still a protocol to follow. Else, you will just end up being the joke of the day. I guess ms-uniquely, being at her young age, is still oblivious to her surroundings. And to a certain extent, I applaud her for her courage to dare to be different. (but not for her linguistic ability.)

Perhaps i'll get a iPod touch instead cuz my old iPod, winterberry, of 30G is kinda getting on its age.. but then again... winterberry is still functioning.. *okie, my gadgets are all *berries* (cuz i like berries, which explains my msn login).. my first iPod mini is- blueberry i think.. (cuz it's blue!) and haha.. my phone - is appleberry (cuz it's red!) But I've no intention of buying a blackberry phone... cuz I don't need a biz phone! :)

Aftr watching 15min of re-run of 娱乐百分百 in living room, i adjourned to my room to zzz an i was surprised to see è blue led lit up on è set top box *in my room...*. And yep, i can watch tv again.
Oh yeah, i laid hands on è set top box last nite. Actually, i hit it a little.. ;)

if not for Rain, i won't even agree to watch the ninja assassin (okie, it was foc - so.. hunky rain, i thought, why not..)

Big mistake.. It was a boring, draggy.. and loads of blood splattering scene.. bloody scenes was so often in the movie that i've grown accustomed to blood spluttering out from the slained.. It was like watching rain doing a happy tree friend show... he got hacked, dugged into his body by fingers... and yep, he survived still...

And i felt as if i was like a vampire.. the bloody scene made me crave for something to stuff my mouth .. oh yeah.. i was popping popcorn thru'out the bloody fighting scenes... ooo...i so wanna catch new moon.. :O

oh well.. memorable part of the movie.. rain's six pack (when he ain't bleeding & covered with blood)... other than that.. i would rather be in the theatre next door - new moon!!

hmm.. have a sudden urge to resubscribe to the happy tree friends video podcast..

Was darned tempted to grab my bag and head home last evening after empty minutes of nothingness cuz of the cramps and cuz was not involved in any of the gigs.. and i realised that despite attending only two of the carolling prac - it wasn't a prob for me @ all..

Oh well, since I am there.. I made the best of it..  so i randomly joined one of the pre-service carolling on x'mas eve @ expo - cuz I'm working HALF day on christmas eve and unlikely will make it in time for jw..  and prolly because of friends too.. haha..  so yay! the first time (and likely the LAST) i get to do pre-service carolling after so many years. *never did cuz always got pulled out LAST minute due to more impt matters.. not too sure if history will repeat itself.. haha..*

oh well..  have yourself a merry little christmas time...

And i think I need to touch up on my concealer..  cuz of the am pm this morning.. the natural lubricant from eyes washed away my foundation.. :o

Go Green!!!

Was greeted by this email from my HR department...
"build a green christmas tree with recycled materials" okie, I know by default, live christmas trees are green..  *unless they are dying or artificially made...*

And, heard from my colleagues that my GM was rather excited abt this initiative/ contest and came out of her room last evening after reading the email and gave a whole lot of ideas... and best part.. my SM thinks I'm creative and the GM actually suggested pooling the materials and get me to assemble @ home (!!?? allo.. i don't drive!) I think her intention may be that.. to keep our creations - hushhush - eh.. but eh.. i stayed the furthest away from office and proudly support the green movement by taking public transportation daily (cuz I don't  possess a driving licence...) Thankfully, the other colleagues ain't that "arrow-ie" and.. haha. one of my colleagues was inspired by her papaya wrapper and came up with an idea../

ooo some fun before the paper crunch begins next week.. and thankfully, not arrowed to do it alone...

I think i'm competitive by nature.. (or perhaps due to the schools I attended..) if i wanna do something, i would wanna excel.. which explains why I chose not to do the full marathon this time round.. I don't want a bad timing. Hey,it is available on the web for all to see!
haha... oh yeah.. egocentric!

Completion is one thing. Doing it well is what that matters..I dislike doing something for the sake of doing. Unless I've absolute no interest in doing so.

Which explains.. I don't aim merely for the finish point... (i train for my runs one ma... and i only started running in 2008!)

And i don't just aim for a mere pass in exams.. I think for my 'O's - i did my E & A maths 10-years series front-to-end twice! - but only for maths!  Until i was in ntu cuz i really dislike accounting and i still see no light in it.. but thankfully i learnt the art of 'smoking' with conviction! - which explains why I am still in  this industry.

I'm not a finance person - i am NOT at all practical.. (if u know me) I like figures - as in mathematics, but no figures crunching, as in accounting.

Point i am making - I don't simply do something for the sake for crossing it out on my "TTD" (translate - things to do) list.

To give your best, or don't do it at all. ( As what I rememberd from the 1st line of the Scouts' pledge - "I promise to do my best... " okie..i can't the rest.. except the last line.. "and to obey the scouts law" ;p)

the $% tv - part 2

i would love to use the colourful language of bengs and lians to describe my disdain towards the tv service under the telco represented  by the colour red. and their jingle with the tagline '.....we can be friends'  really irritate me to the max after hearing it for 20 minutes...

And the not helpful techinical assistance given to me earlier this afternoon did not work (per my expectation) and the additional technical assistance rendered to me after waiting for 20+ minutes (i'm rather peeved  by then when asked the same questions - don't they log in the compliants in their system?) is of no help at all - i'd already tried that on sat, on sunday ... sigh..  and mr des finally think that they would have to send in their onsite technician to look into it after exhausting all the possible option..

and i am very surprise that I have to ask if charges will be waived during the period in which the service is not available due to the malfunction of their system or equipment. and mr des replied that i can call to request for the waiver after the issue is resolved..

wow excellent service! the customer has to suggest for the service recovery herself!!Excellent! I'm darned pleased with this tv thing that i would unbundle this service once the contract is over...

Hot chocolate!!

Feeling cold and kinda hungry, made myself a cup of hot chocolate, which i found in the ntuc last evening. it was a brand that I've not heard before but it looked promising.. it's a Canadian brand.. "Higgins & Burke"and the "trans-fat-free" caught my attention..  The hot chocolate, though being of instant mix, tasted great! :) nice thick and formy.. or perhaps, it was a uber cold day...

And being uber bored... (i read mr miyagi blog for an hour!) I created the following pix..

3:05 - alarm 1 rang... snoozed.. for a few times till 3:15

3:35 - alarm 2 rang... snoozed till 3:45.

4:00 - woke up.. freshen up.. sunblocked... had light breakfast..

4:30 - headed to tampines stadium.. *cuz i bought this $5 bus tix that will bring us from stadium to event area* reckon it's cheaper than taking a cab down - which would be..four to five times more.. but still had to take a cab down to tampines..  And lo and behold.. the lift opened @ the 6th floor and there's this guy who is cladded in running gear entered the lift.. * I intended to be A.S and play with phone.. but seeing that i was dressed similarly to him, it was rather apparent that we were heading for the run.. so he just casually asked if i was heading to tampines to take the bus.. and he proposed to share a cab down (which eventually, i get a free ride! - not that it cost a lot.. think it was $8+ with the midnite surcharge).. hehe free ride.. good thing we were heading different directions upon arriving at the venue, as i got baggage to deposit and he don't. Else, don't know what excuse to give to siam.. haha..

The full marathon was about to commenced when I arrived at the baggage deposit area.. Saw the full marathon participants ran passed me while i was obediently queuing to use the portable w.c.  Since there were like 10+ portable toilets stationed there, and there were at most 30-40 pple in queue in front of me, i figured the queue would take at most 10- 15 min ritE? I was WRONG. cuz.. apparently people cut queues blatanly and simply ignored the snaking main queueing line on the left of the tiolets and simply make a beeline for the individual queues in front of each portable tiolet.. Not just the locals doing that, even the ang mos too.  and I saw one lady (also a fellow causasian..) telling this petite blond lady nicely that the main queue is all the way behind and she ought to join that queue instead of jumping the line.. but she ignored.. oh so civilised.. and i witnessed some who just walked pass on the pretense of finding friends and joined the individual queues @ the far end.. *all these "queue cutters" can vie a spot for the best acting category..*

Finally empty the bladder after queueing for 35 to 40 min! and.. made my way to the starting point :)

My friend didn't get the chance to register in time, so i was on my own. but haha.. i'm used to it le.. :) haha.. run was okie.. except for the fact that I forgot my towel, so haha.. the perspiration gotta be swipe away by fingers and transferred to my top.. aha.. but think my dri-fit absorbed most of the perspiration.. :)

@ the 11km mark near kallang area.. i was :) as it was the half-way mark..  was almost glad that I didn't signed up for the full mara this year.. cuz.. am so not prepared for it... *next year maybe*..  but was rather #!$%$ when the 10km runners turned in and joined the same route near the SG flyer area.. cuz eh.. it was suddenly very crowded AND many were blocking the way by eh.. walking.. or just blocking ...

I guessed I ran at a rather alright pace - aka my usual sunday pace.. cuz i still have blast of energy to sprint the last couple hundred metres.. so.. the timing of 2h23 min (according to my watch) was not too bad.. haha.. at least better than the army half mara timing...  and maybe if i forgo my pt on thurs, it might be better.. ahah.. but at least e was happy with the timing.. with the disclaimer "rest well and loads of water... will be tougher next training'.. saddist right? but gotta give credits to him forcing me to run longer and quicker.. ahha..

And happily made my way to shower/steambath @ the  gym and headed to jw for breakfast and a woot! service.. and uhm... i wonder it is a coincidence or His arrangement that I was sitting next to my zone leader during service and he proposed something in after certain "advertisement" during the harvest highlights, in which @ the start of the word, dr john reiterated the 'ad' again.... uhm... oh well.... see how ba...

anyway, was happy that i ran a good run.. and deciding whether to run a full during the addidas sundown next year.. :)

the #% tv

i think i should terminate the subscription when it ends.. first of all.. the programmes and channels ain't that fantastic.. and i'm not exactly an epl fan... and i'm not exactly a tv fanatic..

And i am rather peeved with the fact that the past few days.. the box set is not working.. :( despite on & off the power supply... it's rather frastrating to see the red "X" in the middle of the screen when u on the tv - telling u that.. haha u can't  watch TV! :(

Was tired.. can't be bothered to power on the netbook to access the web to get mio hotline..  so i watched the free-to-air channels.. which soon led to slumberland..


Finally I called the helpline this morning... hopefully the resetting @ their end and me resetting later tonight will settle the issue . (i can't terminate cuz there's still 1yr contract running...)

yeah.. its the purple tv i'm referring to...

in approximately 12 hours time...

i oughta be close to finish the run... so now it is time to sleep....... good nite world!

At least this year, I need not squeeze and stand in queue for a couple of hours to get my race pack.. but aiyah, this year, no close friends running with me.. And I would prolly rush down to s4 after the run (dun think it will be that much of a rush- intend to finish before 915, shower @ gym, then breakfast then head for svc!) cuz intend to rest a bit after charlene's wedding tmw. :)

And in absolute boredom - i did a scrapblog! haha.. only 4 pages..  (cuz i've yet run!)


both my legs are jelly-like now.. cuz of the training last evening.. evil tried a new stunt to prevent me from cutting corners.. by whipping out his mon blanc to tattoo me should I slack a bit.. :(.. evil rite?

what bored people do to waste time...

Due to the change of cg timings, I gotta bring forward my training schedule from Fri evening to Thurs.. I was hoping for a "nope, my slots are all filled" from e, or perhaps, he won't want to work till that late, so would prolly let me off this week.. but nope, i was wrong... and perhaps the drowsy medication made me responded okie to 930pm... so... now I am stuck with hanging ard in the office.. waiting for time to pass. (not really, i got things to do, but they are supposed to keep me occupied for tomorrow) until @ least 8p.m.

Oh well, alternatively, I could choose to respond to whether I can make it to the combined meeting with Dr John Avanzini @ jw like one of my members "i've an app not gg" - yep, that was the exact reply from her.. oh well, at least she bothers to reply. But matter of fact, i have an appointment too.. but sigh, she's she and I am me (and I am glad and very glad I am me...)


since all games sites are kindly blocked by my IT department - thanks to the new group IT- at least I can read blogs and blog too.. haha... Out of boredom last night, I was viewing a friend's album on her fb page on her birthday and xmas gifts- I was "facsinated". With just two groups of gifts, (one group being a advance xmas gift and a birthday gift - note total of items = 2; the other group being three pairs of shoes) 46 pictures! Imagine 5 items = 46 shots! (that was as at posting date) Uhm... and some are just close-up shots of the same items.. T_T"  I guess she is really pleased with the 5 items. especially the 3 pairs of walking stilts! cuz she took many shots of the shoes - emphasising how high the heels are...

Oh well.. I think when I was her age... I too was strutting ard in stilts (imagine running from the bn lay mrt station to the 199 bus stand to catch the bus in 3 inches heels.. okie.. which explains why i got such muscular calves.. :( ) and I even high those crazy looking 4inches tall platform wedges (think it was in vogue then, due to i think, Spice girls?) okie.. I belong to that era... but nah, i won't bore my friends with the mulitple duplicate shots of the same item.. :)  maybe she has idle time to spare (like what I am doing now..)

due to my conjunctivitis... i was ordered to be on mc - for two days.. cuz i bright light is bad.. constant staring at pc - irritating to my eyes too * i think i caught it from church, prolly.. cuz eyes infected on sunday evening - after i removed my eye make-up .. and conveniently rubbed my eyes.. :( they became super swollen within minutes.... )

so.. day two of medical leave, biological clock woke me up at 7plus *can't sleep longer - backaching if i sleep too much* so... i made some blueberries wholegrains muffins - okie from the box of ready-mix.. preparation time abt 15 min.. :) just needed eggs + water + oil...

not too sure when we were instructed to keep a journal.. on what u like and wanna wear? frankly.. I am not that keen in doing that.. and seriously, I think I know how to dress and dun like to be confined to the 'latest-trend' (i don't fancy being dressed identically with others) - Since i was foto-graphed twice out of the past 5 weeks (for the 'contest').. i think i dress-well right?? *pretty flattered leh, consider I usually just open the wardrobe and grab what I feel I wanna wear for the day.. so random..* but I guessed I've alright taste bah. (and I know what clothes my physique can take.. !)

Strangely, both times were when I was in my boots & donned in black.. haha i think it's the power calves that makes the boots look good. and black is always slimming...

oh well.. my creativity flows from uber-randomness.. *which explains why I dun buy my card supplies knowing what I wanna make.. I buy what caught my eye.. then when it’s time to create.. I just see what I have & create.. *

bye bye my only pair of bejewelled jeans!

Due to the severe shrinking of my buns.. I can literally pull off all of my pairs old jeans without unbuckling/ unzipping... And there was this one pair of denims that I adored which I only wore twice! bought it from SKIN three years back and it was slightly loose but it was the smallest size left and I <3 the bejewelled-adorned back pockets... was not the true-religion ones like (too man for me...) a british brand -monarchy. think it was between $150 - $200 after disc when I bought it.. And I only wore it twice cuz it was already loose then.. And since after I started running (on a more regular and intensive basis) the buns & thighs shrank.. so... the used-to-be loose pair became ultra loose (it was already hipster-cut.. so.. its kinda ugly to have extra flaps of material hanging loose)!

so.. I gave it away to corinth.. I think it will fit her la.. since her frame is bigger than mine despite her losing some pounds too..

heart-pained but I think it will deserved to be worn rather than stashed in cupboard and I have no intention of growing fat to fit into them!
I believe in sowing and reaping! YAY!

After much deliberation, we settled @ fish & co . Great since it was the third day after my birthday, we are still entitled to 10% bee-day discount! (I opted not to have the rap from the fish & co crew and glad I did. Cuz there were a couple of celebration there and it was rowdy!!)

We managed to reach TWG (which we didn’t the last we went) before closing hours, but still didn’t managed to taste the Singapore Surprise that Ivory highly recommended.. Still the macha waffle pastry was yummy and I like the tea brew we chose – Princess Tea!  And somehow, I like the short FAT teaspoon in the sugar pot.. it was so whimscal.. haha..

Officially I'd a very fruitful birthday this year.. oh yeah.. i'm 25, and yes going on to 25 always.. *figure that no doubt 21 is a younger age but... @21, i would still be in uni... and i think i can & will still look 25 for a few more years to come.. i'm like benjamin buttons... growing younger day by day!

Frankly.. the biggest surprise was the unexpected opportunity to avail my 'C' nature to a greater extent. A wish come true? Nah, my dream is not to be a PA though many friends think I'm good @ admin matters..  and to a certain extent, admin is never a hassle to me.. haha not that I'm an uber organised person, but I like to think that my room is in an organised-chaos.. only I can locate stuff admist the heaps of stuff lingering around.. haha) I received an sms from my zone-leader offering a role to assist him in admin matters - aka 'zone-sec' or if I'd prefer to be more involved in area of pnw... took me a while to reply.. *haha.. a matter of comfort zone issue . It will sure be easier to do pnw cuz at least, I need not face certain goliaths.. * but I didn't wanna stay @ the nua-zone.. so.. ahha.. yeah.. replied postively to the former..

Headstart my 25th birthday @ the gym.. oh yeah, e has 'tricked' me sorta to change the training from Fri to Sat. *okie, it was not really a sabo attempt but it turned out whatever reason he changed the timing no longer stands.. so.. to me still a sabo..* And he seemed impressed that i was so 'committed' to train even on my birthday.. :) his gift to me - an hour more to the weekly 2 hr run.. HE IS CRAZY! *but I supposed he knows his stuff and haha saw the potential in my two power calves.. So i ran a 10km under 60min that morning after the weights session - and haha that's faster than the GE timing - I guessed I performed better under pressure.

Following that.. my crabcrab session with ziv & jac.. @ no signboard resturant @ vivocity. the white-peppered crabs tasted good.. I like the greens (not too sure what veg that was - looked like spring onions but not.. ) that were stirred fried together with the crabs..  the chilli crab was alright, the sauce had a tinge of dried shrimps taste which I don't really fancy.. - I prefer the JUMBO ones.. ;p still it was a yummy crab dinner!!

And they arranged for a surprise for me - heading out to 'winterwonderland' @ jewel box - i.e. their annual snow & light display.. the jewel Christmas!

Realised that there are at least another 4 to 5 groups celebrating bee-day there..  the band was good! And I got a birthday song played for me too... :)

Played with the detergent-based snow to get a fake feel of snow.. ;p  Some of the nicer pics in jac's camera so.. haha maybe i will upload them later!
