busted

I was supposed to head to gym for my training session when two msg came consectively.. one was from e, informing me that he's hit by fever and couldn't train tonite.. and second was from weiling.. asking for movie/dinner..

so timely right.. so my flesh said... 'since you've did the long run yesterday..u can take a break.afteall, no training tonight ma..'  hence, caught a movie with weiling instead.. and just so happened that the movie was entitled 'how to train your dragon'.. so while waiting, i tweeted.. and yup the tweet was linked to my fb and i forgot how to disable that so... anyway, e should be zzz and hence, thought no harm done.. anyway.. it wasn't obvious that i was catching a movie ma.. cuz i tweeted '..decideds to learn how to train a dragon tonite cuz he who trains her body is sick. ;( "

wa.. i've a very scary trainer rite. 'always around.. watching...' which is true cuz whenever i do treadmill in the gym, he will usually hover ard to check my speed.. :( and that's scary...

oh well.. i still owe him another 2 runs.. short.. i wonder can i complete them later.. or else.. i brought my trainers (shoes i mean) to japan too.. :)

speaking of japan.. yippie.. less than 24 hours to jet off!!

btw the movie was hilarious and toothless the dragon is soo cute.. ;)

What thou ought not do...

Was packing my luggage for the trip.. To my surprise, it took less than 1/2 hour to pack ..and I realised I've too much clothes.. and those in the wardrobe are uhm.. what i don't wear and what was piling on the beanbag were mostly recent acquisitions.. and uhm.. what I fancied...or not worn yet.. :O


So i decided.. thou shall not buy more clothes.. 


especially after monday's early am experience at city plaza. Was there @ 7plus to help ms stelle grab the new stuff for her blogshop.. and don't think it's worth that much to get 'exclusive' stuff that is not so exclusive unless it's a must have.. 


Hence.. no more new clothes.. until i've cleared the old stuff away and hang the new additions in... :)

Wikipedia defines a girl as "A girl is any female human from birth through childhood and adolescence to attainment of adulthood. The term may also be used to mean a young woman."

Alright, I'm certianly pass the stage of adolescence and yeah, i'm definitely of legal age (since just a couple of  years ago.. lol).

It must be the baby fats (which has stayed with me until I was bought over by the madness evil training regime last year).. at least.. it has kept my face uhm.. taut.. and thankfully save for the sole chicken pox scar , I can get away with just concealer under the eye.. and still look presentable. :) And I've only been for a facial once in my life (cuz it's FOC and I saw some friends who went for facial treatments regularly and uhm, it doesn't seems to help..).. Perhap, my obession with beauty regime since uhm teenage years help.

Took a cab to work cuz I woke up in horror at 7:50 and by the time I was ready, it was 8:20. Gasped! Was pleasantly surprised when cab uncle asked, 'girl, are u going to the office towers?' I guessed it's my outfit today. I've tied up my hair in a pony-tail and dorned in mng tank and my pullnbear denim mini-skirt and the m:phosis elastic-strappie sandal.. (it's sat and causal-dressdown is allowable - so long it's decent..)

Usually, only the store-owners at the hawker stalls will address me as '小妹' . And yeah, the tea lady at office also addressed me as 'girl'. ;p

Probably I'm like benjamin buttons.. Uhm, this has not been the case when I am really of 'ah girl' age. Due to my large than life size in my not very distant youth - Sec 2 or 3 i reckon, i could distinctly remembered a shop assistant (which i think should be a few years older than me then) at the ulu (now defunct and taken over by Sheng Shong) popular bookstore @ bedok nth addressing me as 'aunty'. GOSH.. i was mad! On hindsight, i think i resemble an aunty cuz i was wearing some huge shapeless tee and berms ba... [I think I'm like 10kg heavier than current weight!! Prolly that huge tee I've now can be a tee shirt dress for me ] Still calling a 14-year-old an aunty is uhm.. not nice. Perhaps, it's payback time now.. so I get to enjoy the youthfulness now.. LOL.  I think I could still pass for as an undergrad if I want. ;p  Perhaps, the youthfulness is due to hallelujah cream too .. :)

All in all.. ah-ger is happy today despite of the wet gloomy weather outlook..

And ah ger going Japan soon.. HAPPY.. And i've not change my foreign currency and pack my luggage yet!

Was bored.. logged on to fb..

Saw that there were like 290+ updates from 'friends' since I last logged on, which was last evening.. There were interesting updates.. mundane ones like .. for example, i know CC's fave snack cuz she updated her status as CC~ REESE'S peanut butter cup & a glass of milk. ♥ ♥ . Cool. but, uhm, not my fave kind of snack.. reese peanut butter cup is uber sweet for my liking...

Then i saw someone's elses...

She has woken up early this morning despite of the uber perfect snooze weather. Perhaps she has kindly volunteered to do extra service (hence the second status update a couple of minutes later) so, she has to wake up early, probably to achieve what she might have to do in the span of time that she's forked out to do the extra service.. or probably she just has the habit to let everyone knows what's up with her life..

Cynical interpretation - yy wants her friends (and maybe the higher auth too) to know that she is doing extra and her sarcrifices, probably.

Oh well, you can't shape a person perceived about you. Hence, be wise of what you decide to share on networking sites. Alright, i shall be nice and just think that yy is a very transparent person and wants her friends or her potential friends to be to be aware of what's going on with her life.

Random thought that I've yet submit my application form to ICPAS (which I've delayed for eons.. cuz never thought of staying in this line of work for so long, so paying an annual due to be a non-practising member is like sunk costs wasted..).. and they have now went from paper to online application.. drats. now gotta go certify certs as certified true copies before scanning.. which add to further incentives to procrastination...


And this reminds me to an msn conversation I'd with someone yesterday that sorta irritate me as the conversation went.. let me just name this person as Minnie. I think Minnie was thinking of changing line to accounting.. think she is doing something unrelated to accounting and she does not have an accounting backgrd...

Minnie was asking me about how to be a certified accountant . Oh well, assuming that she is enquring on being a certified public accountant (i.e. CPA), told her that she would need to register with the ICPAS which will require either recognised accounting degree or professional certification by accounting bodies like ACCA. So, since minnie doesn't have accounting background, I advised her to perhaps, take a dip in acc then a bcc with local or overseas uni.. if not she could always do the acca course.. Told her that to practise as a certified accountant in sg, have to apply to be members of ICPAS and even she has the ACCA certificate or membership, she has to apply to ICPAS cuz ACCA is a uk accounting body.. if it's aussie she is interested in, then need to get certification from the auz authority..  [Different countries have different accounting standards and different tax laws too..]

blood was at boiling point by the questions/ statements of hers, among which were:

(1) I don't want a degree, I just want to be certified.

This was after learning that it was expensive to take up ACCA (cuz in addition to course fee by modules, there is membership fee as well.. in GBP) Uhm, in order to be a certified accountant - which certified i assumed is that certification from the recognised professional body - u need to have the relevant academic credentials - i.e. either a degree in accountancy from recongised uni or a professional cert from the recongised accounting body. so told her, you can practising accounting without being certified (i.e. like those merely doing bookkeeping..) but you can't be certified without the revelant degree or certs..

(2) 2 years is too long, any shortcut to get certification?
Her friend apparently passed her acca within 2 years and ms minnie thought was too long.. (@#!!#$$ I spent 3 years in full time to get the bcc.. 2 years parttime or full time is not long! ) Told her that if she was doing the course part-time, it might take longer...

(3) Are the accounting modules easy?
[I hated accountancy.. for the record, it's not because I don't get the theories but I dislike the course of study while I was at it and had the intention to switch course but due to procrastination, didn't go about doing it.. ]Duh, told her acc was more than figures.. She was amazed that there are theories behind computations when i informed her that accounting course is more than computations and figures (obv there are theories to be understood before you can apply the figures and make sense out of the nos and trends..) - and not just theories but laws & legislations too.. .. accountant's bible equivalents would be the accounting standards like the FRS or the GAAP.. and mine.. are the various tax acts and oso the accounting standards too..


In short, ms minnie wants to be certified as an accountant in the shortest time possible and cheapest means.. Uhm.. accountant is a professional post rite, along with engineers and architects.. SO definitely there are barriers to entry - And if you are not willing to invest in your time and $$$ to enter into this market, then,  what the .... i guess maybe ms minnie was lured by the potential pay of the accounting profession.. then.. pay the price please.. o.O

okie.. having said that, for once, I'm happy to have chosen accountancy in ntu on the notion that 3 years is the shortest route among the others to get a professional degree.. (which resulted in me not choosing architecture in nus...)

but I've not changed my foreign currencies yet.. cuz still looking at the forex and if I've know, I would have changed them last week... :(

No more multi-tasking

the IT department has finally reloaded up their firewall and blocked the gaming sites.. Sigh..

now I can only blog when I'm bored..

Was alerted on some's peeps fb status.. I guess chilli/chocolate consumption will be on the downward trend for the t1s1 until April? It must have been a STRONG DETERRENT message sent out last evening.

but uhm.. if you are really serious, shouldn't you be abstaining from these stuff for uhm life.. (or at least as long as you wanna sing..).. on the other note, I am glad I'm not t1s1 (I prefer r2d2) and I love my black peppered and chilli crabs.. and my heavenly dark godivas..

procrastinate

I guess I'm sorta an advocate of procrastination towards certain decisions or sometimes out of uhm laziness. (Despite telling others not to..)

Some of the little or big decisions I've procrastinated:

I wanted to get my driving license since reaching the legal age of driving but has YET attempt to even book the Basic Theory.

I wanted to learn the piano/ keyboard but has also procrastinated for like uhm many years.. until last year, tris recommended his teacher to me.. but i didn't take up the offer.. cuz i procrastinated..

I wanted to go sot but have deferred from uhm since uhm.. okie.. a long time le. and i've yet went.. and not this year too..

I didn't really enjoy the tax/ biz/ accounting thingy but has not wanted to get out of the comfort zone cuz I've learnt the necessary to get by and built up sufficient technical know how and simply did not want to suffer paycut to go to start all over again.. (Maybe being a Tai Tai will be the easiest way out to get out of this route. lol)

And I went on a month break to defer making the decision to stay or to leave..  (but there's also a poltically correct reason why I am taking a break.. so I used that to tell the one who is in charge..) And in the one short month of break, I really didn't mind not missing out the usual routines but instead, I think I am happier.. And resuming the usual routine last tues (cuz the other meeting was cancelled) made me realised that Yes, I like certain aspect of that (which is the technical part) but dislike most of the others (which is the meet-and-greet-i-don't-think I know your last name session) Or perhaps, those whom I've grown up with have since moved on too.. Or perhaps, it's time as well.. but the conflicting thing was that I actually missed doing the technicalities on stage(even though I don't think I'm exceptionally brilliant at it..but at least I am not like tone-deaf and couldn't catch the harmonizing part despite not being taught officially..) As such, I've NOT conveyed my decision cuz cutting the line would means I won't have a back-up plan. And now, I'm taking a step a week at a time but I don't like it... As for the other direction.. I also not too sure where it is heading... but probably will be much more fruitful? but cutting the line is not that easy and I think the scissors or knife has been hidden somewhere, somehow..

This is getting nowhere.. I will stop procrastinating and start probably on No. 2 or No. 1.

Since the last December (after the standchart run), the uber-manic trainer of mine enforces this off-training schedule.. so as to prep me up for the 42.1km (i suppose... if not, he is pure evil!)

It started with a do-able regime : 2 short runs (i.e. short meaning 10km) and 1 long run (2 hr run -with min expected distance of at least 19.5km..). On occassions whereby I missed a run, it will accumulate to the next week.. And he expects shorter timing for the short runs and longer distance for the long run.. and it's not just what I'd missed, it's more.. Or if the timing/ distance is not satisfactory, it will be disregarded.. And the accumulation is of an 'ah long' style = cuz if i missed a 10km run, he will make it to an extra 2 hour run.

And this was how i chalked up 2 short runs, 1 two-hrs run, and 1 three-hrs run two weeks ago.. and he maliciously ignored the first 10km run i did (cuz it took 62min - the tolerable timing was then under 60min) and hence my efforts wasted..  But I did fulfilled his crazy "ah long" requirement but the consecutive long runs over the weekend resulted in two huge blisters on my right big toe and second toe.. hence I only ran a 10km run and 2 5km run (which does not make up to a 10km) last week.. and due to the womanly issues, last weekend was out of action.

And dr evil slapped a 3 short runs and 2 2hr run regime for this week.. Which i thought was do-able, And happily reported the timing of run 1 (in midst of the bleeding love)  of 59:50 until I realised that he's raised the ceiling for my short runs (he expects a 50min range..) which i replied "笑"[not that i'm ecstatic about the new bar but my sentiments of the new standard.. i.e. translated as 'crazy ah'.] .. Uhm, at least he's willing to 'close an eye' to the 1st run.. BUT to achieve a 50min is so not do-able now.. :(

But then again, without him, and his stretching targets, i would probably be stuck with my old roomier-in size wardrobe and not contributing as much to the economy via spending in new clothing, and  yeah, more flabby..

The grass is happy

cuz it finally rained this morning. Yeah! God answered my prayer for saving the poor yellow, wilted, dehydrated, grass and other form of vegetation..

I'm referring to the grass that grows from the earth, not the metaphoric-typey of "young & tender grass"..

But then again, those 'grass' might be happy too.. cuz suddenly, their faces are found on the front pages (and several more pages coverage on the tabloids and major papers..) Instant celebrity!!

Oh yeah, grass multiplied very quickly. (Like weeds.. one weed that is not pulled out will result in overcrowding that drive out the nutrients from your crop..) From the second blade that emerged from nowhere after the first blade surfaced her ordeal with the old cow,  TNP's front page declared that the cow has apparently interest in not one, not two but 16 blades of grass..

Frankly, I'm not that interested in this news.. Uhm, it's certainly not of my concern of how gals that he has made his moves on or perhaps, this being a publicity stunt..

Uhm, i'm not a fan of his movies (I can't identify with most of the themes protrayed in his movies (prolly not the targeted audience..) such as "I not stupid" or " money no enough".. (cuz I ain't stupid and i belong to the minority group that don't understand the hokkien language..). But I won't boycott his movie if it's purely b'cos of his uhm.. private life..

[And I still think that edison is cute.. haha.. oh yeah.. the scandalous photos in stolen laptop thingy.. but hey, the 'victims' were of legal age, matter of fact is that they've done what they've done -  so with or without the pictures taken to commensurate their moments of ..uhm pleasure?]  oh yeah, he is promiscuous, .. okie, as a star, you oughta be good role model... but i still think he's cute. As for mr woods, I think he's a great golfer and yeah, as a public figure that kids would want to model themselves after, his act of infidelity is not a postive influence [but be it one of public scrutiny or the common face in the crowd, one oughta be faithful to one's spouse.

Anyway, the males have all apologized, so just move on with life and there are definitely more interesting news to be reported right?? And to the young 'grasses' - understand the rules of the game before consenting to play... it's not as if they drugged/duped you into the game rite?

ever sure

As the tues meeting was not on tonight, i thought I could finally attend what I'd went on leave for the past month...(esp since it was at rw..)

Perhaps being seated next to this two ladies (whom i presumed to be from the pc) during the sectionals and kept talking to themselves throughout, i felt like a huge extra since turning to your neighbour seems like turning to air and showing whatever oughta be shown to the big empty atmosphere.. ( i mean i couldn't like poke the lady next to me and say..hey, can u be more friendly... - for a moment.. or many moments.. i felt like what a walk-in might feel like..) hence during the drilling portion for the b/t i was on the web (on wifi) but i was smart enuff not to leave a comment on my status on fb - hence, i blogged using my mobile despite the battery was like 20-30% left...

Being away just for a month makes me feel ever more distant... Perhaps those whom I have came and grown up with has went on in life.. I think it's about time... for the next two weeks.. i'll just do sat.. then...

but was glad to have met fish for dinner and caught up with valerie & nicole on my way home.. and happy to have company until my bus-stop (for once..)

Glee

Slept only at 4 cuz I happily watching Glee on the mio.. ( but it's only available up till epi 11 or 12.. sobs, gotta wait till April to have another 4 episodes to be made available..) I think I may be hooked onto it like how i like F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Gosh.. :) [ It's a better idea that I don't get the hard disk and media player from bro cuz he's got the whole season 1 on disk.. And haha.. thank God I didn't buy any of the Friends dvd.. cuz my bro bought the whole set from amazon.. haha.. yup.. i'm pretty much a free-rider.. lalala.;p. ]

I can't wait for the NEW Season to start..

From the east to west to the east to west to the central (finally!!)

Oh well, the ST is a spoiler to those who attends S3 & S4 ( and if these folks are totally cut off from the networking sites like fb or twitter).. It reads on the first page of The Sunday Times that chc is a co-owner of suntec convention centre..  [ my element of surprise was taken away by an sms from eugene who texted us the venue just before s2 started.. :), but still thanks for the update! ]

To think that I was talking to sandi that I haven't visited suntec for a really long time, and the last being last thurs when I met up with her and some of the ex-classmates from DHS - we met up @ suntec crystal jade.. And I was there a couple of days earlier at the bsb concert ( cuz my bro has a pair of tix - but the media seats was bleah.. think was the cheapo tix but at least was the 1st row of the cheapo tix.) and I was lamenting on the sound system/ and lack of projection screens of the hall.. - but free ma.. so.. it's alright for me.. but if I was not a bsb fanatic then, i won't be able to tell who's who on stage from where i was sitting cuz there was no camera man filming the concert.. (still i prefer aj after all these years.. ahha.. )

Back to suntec..  yippie.. finally the place is found and I can happily save on cab fares and travelling time after late meetings etc.. :)

Though back of my mind - I was thinking that the owner of the suntec made a smart/calculated move - cuz with the marina bay sands completing soon, it will have another competitor for the m.i.c.e events..  oh well, a win-win situation for both parties.. :)

Alright, perhaps that's why my dream residence is still in the east coast area.. :)

And, expectedly, the amount was upped again just before the pledging.. by 30%... 'But he who sowed with tears shall doubtlessly reap with joy.' Uhm.. still, I think I should have enough to make myself happy for the japan trip.. and hopefully another solo trip to visit sandi @ switzerland in Q3/Q4 ...

And this He whispered to me as the presentation on the new buidling goes.. "You will graduate there next year..." uhm... O.o"

Anyway, happy that i get to be part of this huge family which I'd joined in the east (@ the old hollywood theatre) to the west (@ Jw) to the east ( expo) to the west (jw -cuz my zone shifted back) and yay to the central in 2011. :)

Friends I've not met in a decade..

Last thursday, met up a group of ex-DHS classmates (mixture of my lower sec and upper sec classes, cuz some of us were in the same class since sec 1) as a dear friend of ours, Sandi, was finally back in SG after two years plus (cuz her dear hubby was studying his masters in switerzland while she too pursuing hers (think was 2nd) and practising for performance too..).  Amazingly, despite of years of not meeting them up (okay, the last time i met up with them was 2 years ago, at Sandi's concert @ VCH before she left SG..). It's the thing of spending eons of times together during sch that there isn't this 生疏-feeling that you get even you have not met one another for years..

And one of them was tr, who, in his memory that the last he saw of me was in secondary sch.. haha.. Technically speaking 2 years ago. (@ sandi's wedding whereby we were seated at the same table but DID not manage to talk, so perhaps, he didn't realise.. haha) still, i manage to connect with him ..

And the scary thing was that I know these group of friends for like at least a decade.. gosh.. [but I'm still young.. ;) ] and gosh.. i felt one of the least accomplished among them all - just an accountant who refused to get her cpa. (she has procrastinated for many years to apply & sit for the provisional paper, thinking that she will not last THAT long in this industry... ). At the table, there was an Asst Prof in ntu, (who oredi obtaind her phd a couple years back - but hey, she was the top student of her cohort-Finance, i think), a lawyer ( who was like me,  acc-trained, but she switched to law after doing audit for a couple of years), a concert panist (my dearest closet buddie, sandi..  i think she must be the person, other than my family, that know me the longest.. haha)..  Think it's time to pay $ to the icpas ..  and learn driving.. (which i procrastinated too... with a whole load of credible reason but paying $30 a day (including the peak hr surcharge and erp) for waking up late on cab fare is no laughing deal.. - which i proudly annouced that I DID take the mass rapid transit today!! :)

But i have to admit, I don't think it will be likely I will meet up with again soon.. unless something major comes up again, cuz yep, sorta drifted apart from them as time passes... but still, the 'foundation' that has been built during school days will not be eroded..  Seasonal ba.. At least.. I've still kept in contact a friend from every phase of my school going years.. haha..

* AM extremely BORED today. Only constructive thing done today: answered two queries from a BU in the morning..  C'est tout.

Constructive idle

When it's lull period.. It's really lull..

However i'm working very hard @ tilling the land, collecting the harvest, watering plants, (:( when found that to-pid pple kup my crops (so i kup hers in return.. - cuz can earn award by kuping other's harvest), feeding my pets, cooking at the resturant, upgrading the facade, fixing the leaking tiolet, planting herbs & plants, upgrading the skill levels in various receipes, visiting friend's farm & restuarants to collect..  from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. When it's lull, it's really lull.. Gosh.. i'm so productive @ country story, pet society, restuarant city, farmville, cafeworld.. AND it's driving me CRAZY...

And i managed to raise up 5 kittens!!

the four grown up cats with one kitty growing kitty (which has since grown up..) and I just adopted the 6th.. :)

I even have time to read all the budget summaries from the big 4 .. GOSH.. and i'm now resorting to reading the monthly company's publication... And best thing.. I'm working today and i've only sent out 1 email, filed some documents.. and yup did my daily tasks as detailed on para 2.

Yup, it's the LULL period..  Yeah... off work now!! :)

Perhaps, this friend of mine is just being frannk and or maybe the hormonal changes tune my think process to that of critical .... somehow the friend's status' comment to me seems like a line out of those fur-cladded high society gals will remark to their friends..

In case you can't read the fine print , the lass commented " don't know about the rest of the world (cuz I'm told there're actually more ice forming up north) but this red dot's definitely heating up."

True, it is indeed hot and uhm - singapore lies on the equator so.. definitely, it should be ALARMING if it starts snowing.. so if it's hot, yeah.. so...

Nothing wrong with her statement, perhaps it's the pms-y mood.. i infer from the statement that ' not too sure if the other side of the world is freezing, but it is getting warmer here..' Of course, my dear, that's the effects of global warming..  Uhm, I thought this is general knowledge? and.. mind you that from one who has at least been through colleage education oughta be aware of that right...

Sigh, weather in its extremeness is NOT people-friendly... so I won't want to be stuck where it is extremely hot nor extremely cold..  And sigh.. Global warming is a reality.. so let's do our part and conserve energy, and do the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) alright..? :) [reminded of the cute otters @ the nite safari show who knew how to differentiate between plastic/paper/metal waste material and dump them into the correct bin.. If animals can be taught (via treats reward system) to dump correctly, sigh, we mankind who can read and think and yet not do it, (probably due to inconvenience to oneself OR it doesn't benefit me - cuz i don't see any harm done upfront.. ), doesn't that place man lower than animals? SAD..

Sigh, i know it's a harmless remark but it just seems like a reply from one of those pagent hopefuls that the mass has sterotyped.. (o.. i thought ice is uncountable? Hence, ought it not be 'there's more ice' instead of 'there're'.. a typo mistake from one who pride oneself as rather proficient in the language...) Alright, i think it's really the pms-y tweak...

Eleventh Hour

Believe me, I've tried many times to empathize.. and I've on many occasions chose to accommodate the last minute notice... Surely, i know that that is the universal most convenient time for most BUT the eleventh hour notice will bring inconvenience to those who make efforts to plan their schedule..


A plastic ruler is definitely more flexible than a metal one.. But when you bend the plastic ruler beyond its elastic limits, it will snap... 


Having said that, this time round, I don't wish to snap like the plastic ruler.. plastic is metal for this time round..

In preparation for trip...

I bought a book during lunch break..

It's so random rite? But after scanning thru the latest releases and none of the latest fiction titles appealed to me..  I decided to get this instead.. (afterall, should I fail to finish reading this before 25 March, I can bring it on board the plane..)

Popped by the samsung retail outlet @ vivo during lunch.. As I was still tempted to get a new (lighter) application friendly phone, it would be rather convincing for me to use the camera-lookalike-phone and perhaps get an iPod touch instead.. and was surprised to learn that the RSP was 1098.. uhm...that sorta psyche me to continue using this sophiscated looking mobile device... which I am still exploring.. I like its camera.. :) even more high-tech than my two-year old sony ..;)

Counting down to end March... (and touch wood.. no tsumani...!!)

Phone woes

My #%$^%- #??!!%* SE phone was cranky again.. It hanged for no apparent reason when I was using the walkman function. And the playnow plus (which was faulty previously and rendered it for repairs last June or so when it was barely a month old..) function was cranky and hanged... I wonder if it was a inherent default to stop functioning close to a year since the unlimited downloading for songs available on playnow plus is valid only for 12 months..  And the headphone jack connection is loose.. and hence music (from the radio - the only form of entertainment that could be played on the phone...) is available if and only if the ear piece is tilted @ a particular angle & position.. (And I thought my earphones was faulty and bought another piece.. thankfully it was not a high-end one that I bought, and i like the hot pink ear buds..)


And right now.. I still have 2 months to on before I'm eligble to purchase a handset (cuz under mio plan.. entitled for handset change every 12 months...) I am tempted to get a replacement phone before that..

And for the time being, I am now using a brand new phone (courtesy of my bro, who won it @ one of his vendor's event.. it was the green telco).. It is not a berry or apple... but it has rather good display.. and it has HD video function.. haha.. But the color was kinda obiang.. it's a limited edition champange gold..  okie.. my phone for now.. -  a samsung I8910 Hd.. not a new phone.. but not too old too.. (that's what my bro said..)

Was mobile surfing on it last night (on wifi) and it was rather speedy... the only cons was that it was uhm.. a tad heavy @ 150g (i think was without battery, not that the battery is that heavy...)

I think the specs otherwise are not too bad.. i think it will make do for the time being.. afterall, it's considered should be considered an upgrade from my w705 (current trade in value @ $200 compared to the samsung's $400 trade-in value, per Singtel's website..).

Great.. I will wait till end May to use the seemed to be working but not working SE as a trade-in should i decide to get a new phone.. OR then again, IT fair is coming mid-march... *hmmm*

I'm not really a gadget person.. just IT-savy enough to satisfy my gadgets needs and not to appear sua-ku.. After.. I did complete the IS (Information System) minor in ntu.. and it's good to know some of the technology stuff... . :)  Never build a PC from scratch before.. the only adventurous thing i did was to unscrew my CPU to change the RAM (cuz it went ringing non-stop suddenly a few years back and google tells me that my ram is faulty and true enough it was... but the same CPU has demised last Oct/Nov)...
