Can't help but to think that it was sheer madness that the massive UK riot/violence/looting came about cuz the police shot a guy to his death last Thursday.
Was watching the sky news channel and was shocked to see the extent of the damage and the recklessness of the youth gangs had inflicted on the businesses & residents. The rioters simply bashed up the windows, looted from the shop, set residences n shops on fire even when people on the street watched on! It was as if war had struck London! Some of the rioters were barely teens!
And this abandoned smashed up London bus shocked me. Apparently, the crazy youths just attacked the bus with the passengers in it.. Gosh imagine you are one of the commuters in it?
There's not much cause and effect between the 'catalyst' and the resulting riot. That guy who was shot dead ain't the big boss rite? To protest the injustice done via inflicting terror and fear on the residents and business owners? Angry at the government on various issues but making yourself heard via such blatant acts of crimes? 借题发挥吧？
Barbaric! Pure madness. Pray for London!
Can't imagine that I was actually at some of these areas alone a few months ago... Really had a good time there then! And I actually felt safe traveling alone there!
Praying for peace and order to be restored soon!
