the occasional rambles..

haven't have the luxury to be up in the wee hours of the night.. have fallen prey to my bed for the past week cuz of the very drowsy cough mixture.. else.. pure tiredness...

the disastrous hen nite
haven't been to a nightspot since.. eh.. the devil's bar few years ago that tien dragged me - all in the name to celebrate my birthday.. cuz last fri, attended my long-time (since pri 6.. woo hoo..) friend's hen's nite.. didn't wanted to attend cuz of my flu and blocked nose... till the bride promised that it's just a dinner & fellowship...
frankly.. i found it SILLY to purposefully "sabo" your friend just before her commencement of her married life... Well.. is it memorable for you if you are dead drunk and made to do stuff that you won't imagine doing in your right frame of thoughts - all in the name of fun & memorable? Frankly, if you treat the person as your good friend (i reckon these are good & close friends if they are part of the entourage..), you won't force your friend to do things that's she does not want to.. call me a wet blanket but i found the events of last Friday @ the pump room silly... (it's a great place actually, the food is not bad.. booze wise.. i personally DETEST beer/stout.. but the wheat ale is portable.. wine over beer... haha.. and ya.. the occasional once a blue moon cocktail is fine but then again.. i reckon alcohol doesn't have much of an effect on me.. haha.. ) Why? the result of their well*intention: bride to be was found missing from ladies that resulted in panic search for 10+minutes before we found her asleep at a table in the middle of clark quay.. Hello.. guessed only linda ( who is the most sane one .. incidentally, she is my classmate in kindergarten! haha small world! we met after wooo.. two decades!) and myself were not for the "getting the bride drunk stunt" cuz i guess of our common faith and common sense... (another Ridiculous thing was that one of the gal asked 3 of her friends - 2 guys and a gal along .. Hello guys on hen nite? and the shorter cargo trainee pilot even attempted to snap a shot of the bride when she was resting from the booze overdose.. hello...?)

in summary:
memorable = things you will not usually dream of doing? (despite of the consequences?)
well intention = your well intention may not be the best... must you conform to the your standard that " at all my friend's hen night, i'll make sure they be drunk and it's fun to see the behavior portrayed at the drunk state..." Hello? you aided in exposing your good friend's flaws @ their most vulnerable state? friend or foe? - gal.. don't saw i didn't warn you abt the principle of sowing and reaping...

hmmm i'm a human.. obvoiusly i don't believe in pre-bridal showers to be "hen nite"...oh well... hopefully, after the semi-disastrous hen nite.. these gals won't do more weird "memorable" stunts this sat..

Saturday
did something i never thot of doing ... glad that the recipient took it well and smsed me this afternoon to "thank me for the discipling on saturday".. :)

spring-cleaning? not really.. i guessed the coughing (due to the phelgm) aids in the speedy springcleaning? (still no screaming, struggling, pinning..) perhaps i'm just a princess.. *wink*

Sunday - the basketball comp @ the ulu Singapore Basketball Centre *hidden next to the Gelyang Swimming Complex"

Well.. it was certainly alrite.. well.. conclusion.. the peeps (bth guys n gals from Kep fels were very "garang, rough", perhaps nature of their work ba.. shipyard compared to clerical..hmmm) and there was this young lass (straight out of NY) whose words & behaviour were so "straight from the mouth" that it aided in developing the fruit of longsuffering.. I know she hated to be volunteered to be part of the team, but she did not have to put on the "tai-chi" stunt every time and the words that she speak were least edifying... and while others were rooting for their own teams when not playing..she was actually reading the Harry Potter book.. and insisted on leaving many time after her team (which was mine too) did not make it to the quarter finals when our other gal team got in.. team spirit?zitch.. hmm she's too straight.. hard to survive in the society.. reminded me of the utopian person whom got 15 minute of my time on sat.. haha but the utopian was slightly better..
