Humbled

I was not exactly expecting a reply when I posted a message on pastor's fb.. Since there are quite a number of new posts now & then.

I was surprised that seconds after I clicked sent - I received a notification that pastor has commented on my post!

Humbled cuz he took the effort to reply personally despite his busy schedule n it's midnight and he is still awake ., unlike some of us who just mass posted a thank you note as a status update ..

Gotta repent & be appreciative of those who cared enough to take a couple of minutes to drop their well-wishes ;)

Egypt to the Promise Land..

It's been nearly 6 months since 'migration' and the promised sayonara has yet (and i think highly unlikely) will be materialized. Well, I'm not being bitter about it but this just dilutes the meaning to "Your word is your bond", somehow credibility has taken yet another dip. Oh well, perhaps to the rest, I've just done another disappearing act (again), but perhaps, that has been the most sensible decision made in 2011. Which is good, else I would definitely be super duber cynical especially in the season of 'r/s'. I've tried for the past few years (in total) but it seems not easy to plough though the dermis level. It just didn't make sense for my pseudo existence within simply because by virtue of amalgamation of the dispersed groups, I was assigned to be there and i chose then to be there thinking that I could be of some help. Perhaps I was naive, effort doesn't necessarily translate into success.. Anyhow, at least I had done what I was supposed to do and since that was not yielding any effects and somewhat not really appreciated/ reciprocated...time to sweep the dust and move on..

'Remembering' does not equivalates to 'unforgiveness'. It just so happens that God has given me with a brain that somehow retain bits and pieces of information longer than the norm. My sniper sight has given me the leeway to divert my path to avoid unpleasant encounters so far but I guess I would try to be a little more short sighted and not divert my path should I see the landmine ahead. I will step on it and flash my thousand mega watt. :D

But God is good.. at least , it feels like being in the land of milk and honey now..  Was apprehensive initially since I don't really know anyone of them except Jus and majority of them are staff/tv ministry leaders.. but it was not the first time being minority in a rather foreign land (guess the first experience was heading to the defuct hwa chong while the mass majority of my cohort chose the eastern jcs..).  Guess my fears were unfounded cuz since i can be classified as 'integrated' by now..

Really felt like the journey from Egypt to the Promise Land..  cuz at cg meeting (which is not the conventionally weekly due to the operational nature of the cg), filled not just spiritually with the Word and Presence but filled physically too.. cuz pst yong is a really good cook! :)

ownership

Seriously, I don't understand why some folks kick the molehill out of something of since 'being a co-owner, you aren't exactly the owner'. <3 what PK said on Tuesday evening - if that's the case, neither will the wife or husband will be the actual owner of the flat which they bought the unit together, since they are the co-owners. If by those folks terms that in order to be actual owner of some property, one has to own 100% of the property, then many properties out there will be owner-less?

Either is my way of thinking too complex or too simple, whatever that has be going on for the past 15-16 months does not have much of an uprooting effect on me.. For example, investment. Not an issue for me for investing the moolah too.. if invest wisely and in low risk commodities.. like bonds?  Frankly, it's an silly idea to bolt your silver and gold in the form of dollars and cents in safe vault or at best in banks' saving acc that pays you interest rate of  0.1% (FD rates aren't that fantastic, but at least >1% depending on quantum you are looking at.) So, it is definitely in the interest of the stakeholders (i.e. whoever contributed the moolahs) to place the moolahs in places that will increases its value with time, rather than seeing it depreciate with time. Thanks to inflation, one dollar today is worth more than one dollar tomorrow. (Unless you have converted your moolah into goldbar!).

Or maybe this is not how the en mass think? I don't know.. Oh well, thankfully, I've invested the earlier part of my life in education that enable to understand things? :) Good foresight in choosing economics over chemistry in JC else.. haha I won't be able to digest these economics stuff?

Thankfully the sengkang/ punggol thingy did not come to pass else.. though haha it will be pretty near home and we will certainly help drive up the prices/ demand for the BTO there (i guess!?)

Found the permanent residency a decade ago.. Not gonna shift out though internal adjustments may be likely and necessary... :)

Alright, back to boring work.. t.a.x.. Q4 is coming.. brrr.. taxing time.. (PUN intended!)
